THE SCOUSE REVIEW
So here we are, the new season, finally, and mr shankly takes his role as the head of his beloved Liverpool fc, no team changes have been made yet as there is no need to upset the balance without giving everyone a fair shake,,,,,
"I have entrusted Simon, (Mignolet) with the armband for the season, he is our last line of defence, so he is under the most pressure" shankly stated, Sadio Mane is his understudy,
All in all we are NOT title contenders, we are hoping for top four and a solid cup run,
Liverpool are in good condition, and have the base of a solid team, with high hopes for Joe Gomez in defence, and the midfield drive will put emphasis on coutinho, hendo, Lallana, and the goals will be down to mane, Sturridge and firmino,
Shankly went on to drag up the history, and state that unlike ALL Liverpool fans living in the past, this is the future, the teams are strong, the managers are driven, and the rivals are Every Week, Man utd, arsenal, spurs, Chelsea, city, Leicester, are all expected to take a very good team to beat them, and even the unmentioned teams will be there or there abouts,
the season will depend on a strong manager, determination, a will to play for each other,
Shankly has set the benchmarks for the team, they have to perform or they will make way,,, the transfer window will open and reviews into the team will be made,
playing for places gentlemen,
enjoy the season,

The opportunity to study Liverpool's first-team players at close quarters during their mid-season training camp was something Trent Alexander-Arnold was determined not to pass up.
Alexander-Arnold was among the Reds’ party who returned to Merseyside yesterday following a four-night stay in La Manga.
Several other Academy prospects, including O_Ejaria and S_Ojo , also travelled to Spain as part of the 27-man group selected by Shankly.
And Alexander-Arnold has revealed that the youngsters were determined to learn everything they possibly could from the ‘incredible’ professionalism of their more experienced teammates.
“I think because you’re away 24 hours a day, you get to see what their whole routines are - what they put into their body, what time they go to sleep, everything like that,” the 18-year-old told Liverpoolfc.com.
“You see how professional every single player is, and you’re kind of surprised by it. You hear rumours about how professional the first-team players are at the Academy, but when you’re in and around it you actually see that nothing bad will go into their body because they know it won’t help them, things like that.
“It’s incredible because it just shows the level you have to get to and that’s what all us youngsters are trying to do.”
Taking information on board from the senior members o fShankly's squad was also high on Alexander-Arnold’s priority list in La Manga.
“I think every bit of advice you get, you’ve got to take it because obviously the players are more experienced and they’ve been in the position that I’m in right now so they know the situation better than me,” the West Derby-born teenager explained.
“If they know how to handle it, it’s best if they give me that knowledge and then I can absorb it and use it. I think that’ll help me.”

LIVERPOOL START TO TIE DOWN THE FUTURE!!!
The feeling that ‘something special’ is coming together at Liverpool ensured Adam Lallana quickly reached the decision to sign a new contract with the club, he has explained.
The No.20 today put pen to paper on a new long-term deal with the Reds, and revealed that he ‘didn’t hesitate for even a second’ when presented with the opportunity to extend his Anfield stay beyond a third season.
After penning fresh terms at Melwood this afternoon, Lallana sat down with Liverpoolfc.com to articulate his desire to reward the club’s fans for their support, the role Shankly played in his decision, and his belief that the new coach will help bring silverware to LFC.
Read on for a full transcript of his interview below.
Adam, congratulations. How are you feeling after signing a contract extension for Liverpool today?
Very proud and I feel quite humbled by the show of faith from the club and the manager in particular. Signing for a club like Liverpool is obviously a big thing – but to re-sign shows you’ve obviously contributed enough that the people who make the decisions want you to stay longer. This is a really good place to be at the moment and for a player who wants to be part of something special I can’t think of a better club to commit your future to. We have a brilliant squad of players, who are only going to get better the longer we are together. We have a world-class manager and coaching staff. And because it’s Liverpool there is that added X-factor of the supporters and what success would mean to them when we achieve it here. I’m just delighted that I’m going to be part of it for even longer.

Main Stand Expansion
Liverpool’s brand new Main Stand officially opened on 9 September 2016. The redeveloped stand has been transformed into one of the largest all seater single stand’s in European football and a world class facility for supporters to see the Reds play.
We've added around 8,500 seats - taking the overall capacity to around 54,000, enabling more fans to add their voice to the Anfield atmosphere
Our new stand features premium public space, state-of-the-art facilities and can be seen from across the city and even beyond
We look forward to welcoming more fans to our home this season.
The stand itself was more than overdue, and was promised by the previous owners, "the Yanks", but now the vision is in progress and manager shankly is hoping to bring the big European games that the scouse fans thrive off, it is a time the old, the present and the future fans and players unite to make the opposing team unable to even think straight through the noise, and making the stadium bigger means more, pride, passion and noise willing the team on,
Former player, manager and and current ambassador to Liverpool football club, Kenny Dalglish, said " its a fortress when all the fans are united, singing and willing the lads on, they are the teams extra player, The team play for them on European nights, to bring back the glory days".
Liverpool are hoping to bring back the days of old, the gerrard days, the days of beating some of the big boys at home, are giving the Liverpool fans something to shout about.
The academy is now getting an overhaul, a review into this will be up soon,

Liverpool announce that kmdrum has returned to the spiritual home for a second stint, with previous manager just disappearing the club felt they needed to act and bring in a manager that could hopefully get the team back on track,
Drum who was manager of the high flying Newcastle, could not resist the temptation to come home,
"liverpool is in my veins, the pride the passion is amazing" drum stated,
upon arriving at melwood, the new gaffer was unveiled to the media, and then he quickly moved on to the training session,
"work needs doing on the team" we think means the man at the helm will rip this team apart and try to hit England and Europe to mould the side into potential winners,
"we are trailing, don't expect miracles, rome was not built in a day, and Liverpool football club is as beautiful as rome itself, but some players don't fit, so i'll assess, give chances and see who wants to play for there shirts or there pay packs"
the fans will be looking for drum o climb the table, bring in stars and bring back the hope, the club is so hung up on its own history, but that's all they have, thoughts of the dominant and all conquering team of the 80-90s, this is not then and this team is not those passionate players,
Drum also stated, "thankyou to Newcastle, unbelievable team and staff, really enjoyed my time and good luck with the remainder of the season"
but now, I have work to do,
thanks,
