FC_Barcelona 0-2 Real_Madrid
After a poor opening to the season Real Madrid bounced back in style with an impressive performance over fierce rivals Barcelona.
After a dissapointing return of 1 point from the first 2 league games, manager Mark Goodson made tactical and player changes, showing that he's not afraid to drop key players. Many were suprised to see Ronaldo and Gareth Bale on the bench for El Classico, but the overall result was a convincing win.
Speaking to Marca after the match Goodson said "we played very well, we limited them to only a single shot on target and created many chances and deserved the 3 points. I believe this will be the catalyst to get our league season really going now. Its early days and we're only 3 points off top despite our start so we'll be up there"
When asked about his changes and his players futures Goodson laughed "Ronaldo and Gareth Bale weren't at full fitness and didn't make the starting XI, there is no chance that they'll be leaving the club as they are two of the best players in world football playing for the biggest club in the world"
The Madrid manager also talked about transfers "we've had a bit of a frustrating time in the transfer market but we'll keep working at it. We've made a superb siging in bringing Mbappe to the club, he's really hit the ground running and at only 19 years of age he has a massive future ahead of him at Real Madrid.
