The Mighty Whites opened up the season with a 2-1 loss at Coventry City.
"I'm very proud of our team," Leeds head coach RedSox said. "We came on the road to a top opponent and really imposed our will for nearly the entire match."
The first half of the game showed consistent possession from the home side, but the late equalizer by the visitors made it an even game by the breather.
The deadlock was broken by the home team in the 81st minute, but Leeds never gave up and had a goal disallowed, to make it a tough loss to swallow.
Looking ahead, the Mighty Whites will host Sunderland in the next game.
"Full credit to Coventry," said RedSox. "The game is about scoring more goals than the other team and that's what they did. They are a team with lots of confidence and they turned their chances into goals. I do believe that if we play the same way for the rest of our road games, we will be a very tough team to beat."

In the home opener, a bombastic 3-1 lead ended up a disastrous 3-3, killing the mood of the home supporters and quite possibly the team's morale too.
"We're just two games in, not the end of the world. We'll take it as a learning" Barked the gaffer. "It's deflating, but we will bounce back" The Captain was heard in the post-game conference. "It was entertaining in the end, but we'd like to score 4 or 5 in a 6 goal game at home" The fan club formally tweeted.
Hopefully, this is early season teething issues and not a disease that will stick.

"It's frustrating to take these poor results, one after the other, despite dominating or at the very least playing at par against the opposition" a frustrated RedSox barked after another one of 'those' games "we need the bounces going wrong to stop. However, we tell our fanbase to R-E-L-A-X, the hard luck may be behind us and a large majority of the season still ahead of us".
"We will keep working hard, and go into every game believing in oourselves, backing the team to find a way" Captain Pedraza muttered in the same press conference.
Despite the assurances, the Leeds faithful are getting antsy and they know it is the RNG that's screwing them up, and things do eventually balance out. Fingers, toes and every damn thing crossable crossed!!
