POMPEY BATTLE FOR VICTORY
Tonight Pompey got their season back on track with a battling 3-1 win over Hull City, Hull controlled much of the game and made it a hard night for the home team but Lingaard, Chaplin and Hunt popped up with the goals. Although Pompey gave away too much possession their shooting boots were on tonight with 9 out of 11 shots on the Hull City goals and could have had more goals. Gareth Evans was again the key man in the midfield with passing skills, Michael Doyle also had another good game and Pompey´s midfield is beginning to show signs of gelling as a unit.
Manager Harry Redknapp seemed pleased with the result after a busy week trying to bring in new faces, watching from the stands were several new arrivals at the club with Paddy McNair and Bruno arriving to bolster the defense. Bakary Sakho has joined the Pompey midfield, and we have just learnt the club are bringing in Spanish striker Alvaro Negredo who currently has no club. This teams is just starting to play and develop we will win promotion and no one will enjoy coming to Fratton Park."
Pompey have won 4 from their last 6 games and just starting to hit form at the right time with 9 games to go in the Skybet League Two season and Pompey now lead the table. Negredo and Chaplin´s partnership continues to provide goals with 26 goals between them this season, Maroune Felliani has been a great signing in the midfield his battling skills have helped transform Pompeys midfield. The club have just added AFC Bournemouth´s Harry Arter who joins Fratton Park on a £10 million transfer deal to further boost their midfield and with Jesse Lingaard now back from injury the midfield have depth and strength. POMPEY CIRCUS PART 2 The continued circus at Fratton Park over the last 48 hours has ended with the club announcing they have appointed the former Huddersfield Town manager Azboy at the club. The new manager arrived this morning, gave the players the day off and started work stabilising the club after the departure of Harry Redknapp to Manchester United. The new manager has been busy conducting meetings with backroom staff, players before sending them away for a days rest and met the club Chairman Ian McInnes and Pompey Supporters Trust to discuss plans for the club moving forward. We understand the meetings have last 4 hours and everyone came away from Fratton Park happy and with big smiles, so now the club can concentrate on winning promotion to the Skybet League One.
Many will be interested to see if the new manager changes the playing style with 9 games left in the league season.

Portsmouth Ready For Final Push
Pompey are gearing up for their final push for promotion ahead of schedule, with 6 games remaining in the Skybet League Two season and sitting atop of the League Table. The season has big surprise to everyone at the club who were hoping at best for a mid table finish, but a great mid season run lifted the club to the top of the league and one of the three favourites for promotion along with Newcastle United and in form Derby County. The strike partnership of Chaplin and Negredo has been key this season with 29 goals between them, some good signings with Jesse Lingaard and Maroune Fellaini from Manchester United, Bruno from Brighton and Jeff Schlupp from Leeds United have really helped the squad.
Friday night sees the last South Coast derby of the season as Pompey travel along the coast to Brighton, in good shape and with Enda Stevens returning to the defense the only change, manager Azboy seems very optimistic of another win and 3 points closer to promotion. Fans will be hoping that Leeds United can halt Newcastle United, and Derby County lose their momentum.

Pompey Edge Closer
After last night round of matches, Pompey edge a step closer to promotion with a disjointed performance but Kal Naismith, Conor Chaplin and Alavro Negredo took their chances and scoring the goals for a 3-1 win at Brighton in the last South Coast derby of the season. For much of the match Brighton had the possession and frustrated Pompey, but Blues battled away and picked another vital win and now 6 points clear of 2nd place Newcastle after their draw and Derby who kept up winning with 15 points to play for.
Fans are started to get excited, just 3 wins from 5 games now and Pompey will achieve their dream of getting back into the top flight of English football. The club have won 11 of their 17 league matches with only 3 defeats, Jordan Pickford has been key in goal, the highly rated keeper has helped Pompey to tighten up leaking goals in high scoring games like the early part of the season. The manager "Azboy"has a battle to keep players at Fratton Park, with several clubs after Alvaro Negredo and Jordan Pickford, this week the club rejected a 20 million offer for rising star Conor Chaplin who has 18 goals this season. An exciting 5 games left to play.

POMPEY CELEBRATIONS
Pompey fans were celebrating last night after the 3-2 win at Huddersfield Town, which sent the Yorkshire club nearing relegation and granting Pompey promotion to the Skybet League One at the first attempt. Fans were delirious, players sharing in celebrations but manager "Azboy"stated they could be caught on goal difference but unlikely as the club now make plans for the top flight next season. The manager had talks with new club owner Michael Eisner the former Disney chief about investment for next season and players needed to be recruited with an emphasis on defense in a much tougher league against world class players.
The club have made major investments in structure, Academy and facilities this season, and now heavy investment is needed on the field for Pompey to compete with the bigger clubs and survive their 1st season back in the top flight since 2010. We understand the club are planning to host a pre season tournament and will be inviting 3 European clubs to play at Fratton Park to further raise the profile of the club and finances.
Unfortunately striker Alvaro Negredo has stated he wishes to leave Fratton Park and join a club that will play in Europe, they are fighting to hang onto young hotshot Conor Chaplin with several clubs chasing the highly rated youngster. Pompey have slapped a £30 million price tag on the striker hoping that will ward off clubs.
