Today West Ham United finally managed to hammer out a deal and appoint a manager after a season with no management, by appointing former Manchester City boss "Fergie" as their boss. The new boss spent most of the day at the club looking around the Olympic Stadium and facilities, meeting the players and then speaking with owners David Gold and David Sullivan. Its clear a revolution is going to sweep through the club and the owners have given the new manager the green light to lift the club and make a good challenge in the league next season.
The club have just announced plans to start developing facilities at the Olympic Stadium, and building a new Academy to develio West Ham stars of the future and the club are looking to challenge rivals Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham next season. More news to come from developments and a statement from the owners and manager....
West Ham manager "Fergie" has stated he is ready for the challenge of the new season and happy with his squad but looking to cut size down by at least 8 players to keep wage bill under control. The club only played one friendly ahead of the season, with Vydra and Sturridge linking well in attack with Sturridge scoring twice, new midfielders Steven N´Zonzi and Gonalons fitting well into the Hammers midfield. Steve Sidwell and A Knockaert have also settled well and the Hammers have a strong looking midfield for the new season. At the back, the club may still look to strengthen and offload a couple of defenders for better quality.
