PROMOTION FOR LINCOLN CITY
There was delight in Lincoln this evening when the English FA confirmed that proposals from Lincoln City were acceptable and have been promoted to the Skybet League Two next season. The Imps celebrating their rise after dropping out of the Football League in 2010 after a very poor season, now the club are back and will take their place in League Two and the dream of reaching the top flight of English Football for the first time in the clubs history could now be a reality. The Imps fans were delighted with the news and more great news when it was confirmed that ex Leicester City boss "Beckham" will takeover as the manager of the club. Becks had a great season with Leicester City taking them to 2nd place in the Skybet League One and to the MOTD League Cup Final and will now set about building Lincoln City and setting long term goals for the club and establishing themselves in Skybet League Two.
The club are now shortlisting backroom staff to work with the manager, developing the ground and shortlisting players they want to bring into the club. Most players will not know much about Lincoln City or their history but this could be a great start of something fantastic for players and the manager.

LINCOLN CONTINUE SIGNINGS
Lincoln City continue building for their debut season by raiding relegated Huddersfield Town, German defenders C Lowe and C Shindler have agreed terms with the Lincolnshire club for a combined fee of £20 million. Lowe and Shinder were key members of the Huddersfield defense both playing 20 matches last season and leading in tackles and passing of defenders. Lincoln have also snapped up 20 year old Brazilian striker Joelinton for a fee of £7 million, he will be the first Brazilian player ever to play for the club and is highly regarded as a future prospect. Three very good signings for the club and setting out their intent to be competitive in the new Skybet League Two which will be a tough league with many big clubs, Everton, Watford, Sunderland, Newcastle United, Crystal Palace to name a few.
Its clear manager "Beckham" wants a solid team built around youth but with some experienced players to guide the youngsters as the club build for the future and remaining in the football league.

LINCOLN FANS EXCITED
The fans of Lincoln City are getting very nervous and excited as the new league fixtures should be out in next few days and the club will learn who they will be playing over the first few games of their debut season on the League. It should be an exciting season for the club as they play against some big clubs in what looks like it will be a very competitive Skybet League Two, on the training ground like many clubs the players have started training and working on their fitness, formations and tactics ahead of pre season friendlies.
We managed to catch a few words with manager "Beckham":-
Lincoln Gazette:"So how excited are you about the new season?" Beckham: Yes very excited, I think everyone at the club is excited, nervous but ready its feels such a long wait and we want to get started.
Lincoln Gazette: "How do you think the club will compete in the League?" Beckham: Obviously we are favourites for relegation along with either Notts County or Brighton who struggled last season. So we need to get off to a good start but I´m confident we can spring some surprises. Favourites for promotion will be Everton, Watford and Newcastle United i think.
Lincoln Gazette: "You have made some good signings, do you expect anymore? Beckham: Yes we needed to bring in a couple of quality experienced players, we may try and bring in one or two more but being a small club we will need to look at the Youth set-up. Develop good young players that will help the club grow.
Lincoln Gazette: "Thanks for talking to us and good luck with the season" Beckham: Thanks always a pleasure.

LINCOLN MANAGER ADMITS MAY NOT BE MORE PLAYERSToday we learned from the Lincoln City boss "Beckham" the club dont really have enough funds to build the squad he wants, and therefore new signings may now not be forthcoming. The club have admitted they have tried everything they can do to provide the boss with funds to build a team capable of staying in the division and are mindful that Manchester City have made an approach but has been turned down. Brighton and Sheffield Wednesday are also watching and both interested in the manager, but so far the gaffer has rejected all approaches and stated he is happy to stay and try an build Lincoln City into a strong club and force to be reckoned with in the League. So its look like the Imps boss will have to reply on Loan signings and try and bring in a couple of loan players to boost his squad and give them a chance of survival. The midfield trio of:- J Skalak, Jack Grealish and Evandro will be key to any success for the Imps, all three possess experience and quality with Grealish rated as one of the stars of the future and a host of clubs have tried to sign him. Young 21 year old Brazilian striker Joelinton will look to provide the goals with the more experienced Nathan Arnold to partner him, at the back german pair Lowe and Schindler bought from Huddersfield Town will look to provide stability. On the training ground the manager looks like he has been working on a 5-2-1-2 formation using the wingbacks and with two defensive midfielders sat in front of the back 3 to provide a solid base. But the team need two DM´s urgently as Grealish and Evandro are more attack minded midfielders.

IMPS GAIN FIRST WIN
Lincoln City manager was running up and down the touchline at the final whistle after Lincoln City finally got their first win in Skybet League Two and fans were delighed with the result along with the players. Although it was a defensive performance away from Sincil Bank, the Imps worked hard passed the ball around and got the result thanks to goals from Stankovic and Rhead. Rhead one of the best players on the pitch with passing and awareness in front of goal, Jack Grealish pulled many of the strings in midfield with his passing and beginning to show his potential after a big transfer fee paid for him to join the club. The Imps defense played tight and worked well as a unit, with keeper P Farman not having to make a single save in the match, the club will now be looking to build on the result and climb the table.
Off the field, the club have just expanded Sincil Bank to 22,500 seats, the new Training Ground is coming close to completion, the Academy is progressing and future plans are in place for developing the club.
